We want to say a big thank you to everyone who backed our project! It means the world to us that we get to start this journey.
A few important updates for everyone:
1. We will be sending out a survey to collect your shipping address and other important information to send you the items you ordered in the next week or so. Be on the lookout for that email.
2. Our manufacturer is ready to begin producing, they will start in the next few weeks as soon as they have confirmed the final design. We are on schedule as far as production and delivery. We'll continue to keep you updated here.
3. If you or anyone you know missed out on our kickstarter, Stay tuned there will be more opportunities to get a backpack at a discounted price!

We are less than a week away from the end of our campaign! Literally 5 DAYS LEFT!
What a wild ride it has been. We never thought we'd get so much support from people we don't even know. Thank you all so much! We love what we are doing and we cannot wait to get our products into your hands. We will be sending out emails after our campaign is over to finalize your orders, so watch for that in the coming weeks. The production process is going very well so far. We are just waiting for funds from kickstarter to officially kick off the order with our factory. We have been taking one of the sample bags that we got from our supplier all over the place and it has been amazing to have. We really honestly love it. It's just too convenient to not talk about! We need your help to keep spreading the word! Hello Halton Family!
We have officially received our first production sample from our factory. Our original bags were made by hand here in Utah! But they were super expensive because of how intricate they are to make by hand. So we have been working with a manufacturer since before our campaign began to get a production ready version of our backpack. And it's finally here! It's seriously such great quality, we are so excited about this manufacturer. The padding we added to all panels adds some really good structure and it's really comfortable on your back. We are making the zippers to the two full size pockets round the corners of the pockets so it's easier to pack. Check our instagram for pictures, @haltongear!

As of right now Alexia, myself (Bentley), and our daughter Gemma are in London, England on a family trip. We wanted to bring our Halton bags on our trip to test their use as rigorously as possible. Let me tell you!! We have put them through the ringer! We started our trip flying from Utah to New York, then on to Iceland for a few days where we were caught in a crazy blizzard! After Iceland we moved on to London; Tomorrow we leave for Northern England and then on to Scotland and Amsterdam to finish it off! Everywhere we have gone we have used our Halton bags. As carry ons, as day packs, as a picnic bag, and more. We have used our add ons for cameras, phones, batteries, wallets, etc. and they have been super convenient. Guys, we know we're biased, but these bags are awesome. The backpack is the greatest carry on ever! It's so easy to get to everything with the side access or the top access during travel. I personally love that I can get into the top or bottom at any time without actually opening the bag. All my papers, documents, and treats are readily available without having to get into the bag. Then inside the bag everything is so organized (AND STAYS THAT WAY DURING TRAVEL!) so that I can quickly get to what I need whether it's for my daughter or to charge my phone or whatever. The backpack really just makes life convenient so we can focus on whatever it is that we're doing.

We have officially blown past the half way mark in our campaign! It is crazy to think we started this journey with you all only three weeks ago! We want to continually express our gratitude for the outpouring of support and kind words we continue to receive. It means the world to know there are other people out there that like our crazy idea! We will be receiving our first "production quality" sample from our factory this week. We saw pictures before it left the factory and they did make a couple small mistakes with the pocket orientation but we wanted them to sent it anyway to make sure the materials are durable and up to the quality standards that we set. Watch for an update later this week about that! As far as the small pocket mistakes, we have edited our product files with them to be more clear and they are already making those corrections so we can be ready to begin manufacturing as soon as our campaign ends. We plan to go through a couple more sample iterations with them to ensure the final production unit is what it needs to be!

We are officially past the $30,000 mark! Thank you so much to everyone who has supported our project! We couldn't be more excited!
As an update on our progress with our business and product:
We are in the final stages of prototyping with our manufacturer. We are doing this with them to ensure they can replicate the prototypes we have made ourselves. The most recent prototypes are extremely close to perfect. We are also adding additional padding and structure to all outer walls of the backpack. As well as higher quality webbing for the straps, snaps to secure the laptop pocket better, better hooks as a replacement for the d-rings inside the bag, and more space and structure has been added to the two large item pockets.
